Plug and Play Process

Follow these precise steps to bypass the failed electronic steering lock.

Ensure the vehicle battery is disconnected before handling any factory wiring harnesses.

03. Verify Ignition Cycle

Carefully remove the lower dash trim to access the steering column. Locate and disconnect the factory 3-pin ELV connector from the lock assembly without cutting any wires.

Align the pins and plug the factory connector directly into the pre-programmed emulator. The unit mounts securely to the existing column brackets with cable ties.

Reconnect the battery and insert the electronic key into the ignition. The emulator will click instantly, authorizing the engine start sequence without diagnostic delay.

Bench-Test Before Final Reassembly

Always verify full electronic ignition switch communication on the bench before mounting the steering column back into its final position. This quick test prevents redundant labor if the key itself is faulty.
